Study programmes

The faculty is offering four undergraduate programmes, qualifying with a bachelor degree for entering the professional life:

Offering the IBA Bachelor Programme, the economics faculty is not only covering the most important general subjects in business administration. There is as well a wide range of specialization possibilities in this field. Organized in small groups, the IBA students are learning to look at certain economic questions from different perspectives. The large variety and the high interdisciplinarity of the IBA Bachelor Programme are designed to convey the necessary comprehensive competence for an international career.

In the Bachelor Programme „Internationale Betriebswirtschaftslehre“ you acquire basic knowledge in different disciplines, all put into an international context. Additionally you gain the equally important foreign language and intercultural competences. Those are offered by the language center, a semester abroad and through the lectures by the other faculties of law or social and cultural sciences. The slogan is: Global thinking and acting!

The Bachelor Programme BWL provides you during your studies with the opportunity to learn the most important business subjects and to deepen the economic basics you gained. The study programme offers you to improve and deepen your academic as well as your social skills, in order to be successful in a dynamic business environment. Interdisciplinary lectures in the fields of law or social and cultural sciences promote your entry to the practical life. In parallel, you will learn at least one foreign language intensely.

In the Bachelor Programm „Volkswirtschaftslehre“ the students acquire the methods, that enable them to identify isolated and aggregated economic problems, to formulate them and to work on them with a scientific point of view. Due to the focus of the faculty, the international character of the economic context is underlined in a special way. The scientific education is aiming at qualifying the students for entering the practical life.
